After a fun weekend with perfect sunny weather, I feel so energized to head back to work again. I spent the majority of my long weekend with my friend Ella who was visiting all the way from Perth! I had such a good time rediscovering Vancouver with her and now I feel even more proud to live in my city. Places like Stanley Park and Grouse Mountain are true gems that I really don’t visit often enough. This might sound ridiculous, but I’ve been in London more times than I’ve been in West Vancouver – the first is a 12 hour flight away and the second is a 30 minute drive away. So for the rest of this summer, it’s my goal to spend more time exploring the great Canadian outdoors!
Although coffee breaks are usually taken between 9-5, I often take them in the evenings as well. In between doing house work or studying at home, I refresh myself by leaving the house and taking a walk around my neighbourhood with a coffee in hand. The other day I was so pleased to find my favourite UCC Coffee at an Asian Supermarket! This is the biggest brand of canned coffee in Japan and I first fell in love with this beverage in Hong Kong. Since Vancouver has been hit by a heat wave lately, I stocked up on this coffee because it can keep me cool and caffeinated at the same time.
I’m the type of guy who always likes having a jacket in the backseat, just in case it gets a bit chilly at night or in some air-conditioned places. During the summer I like varsity jackets because I like their playful look that matches with the season. This Clarkson Zip-up from Frank & Oak has been a favourite of mine because it’s light, fitted, and comes in this eye-catching cranberry colour.
