Even though we’re now in the midst of July, I still occasionally like to suit up to achieve the dapper look. Fortunately I work in a very cool air-conditioned office, so wearing layers during my 9-5 is not punishing for me at all. In general for summer suits I like to opt for softer tones and lighter materials. Suits in light blue and khaki in linen compositions are my favourite for this season.
This “Malcolm” Seersucker blazer from Frank & Oak is my idea of the perfect summer blazer. It features a super lightweight fabric, a tailored fit, and it is available in light blue and grey. The cherry on top is that this blazer’s torso is unlined, which makes it even more breathable. I read before that unlined jackets are even harder to make than lined jackets, since lining can be used to conceal any poorly done sewing inside. Thus, I really appreciate all the attention to detail that went into the making of this blazer.
Fun and quirky ties are the best summer accessories!
