The other day I had dinner with my friend Coco and we had a conversation that gave me some creative insight. Coco is leaving on a long trip to France soon (I’m so jealous) and one of the towns that she is most excited to visit is Clermont-Ferrand. This town is interesting because all its buildings are short and bright, with the exception of its massive central cathedral that is pitch black. Super cool! That stimulated a thought – while it’s intuitive that a bright object stands out against a dark background, it seems often neglected that the reverse is also true. With that in mind, I decided to pair my dark summer pieces together for an alternative look in this bright season.
Zara Waxed Denim Jacket │ H&M V-neck tee │ Gap Shorts │ Converse Sneakers │ Gucci Square Sunglasses
Seriously, no shoes compare to the comfort of my old pair of Converse! They are the best classic sneakers that only look better with age and wear.
