While most people I know like the colour black and wear it frequently, I’m actually quite the opposite. My personal style leans towards bright colours and quirky elements – anchor ties, printed shorts, and not-so-subtle stripes are all up my alley. But, every now and then I do find it refreshing to experiment with dark and edgy looks. To avoid being too predictable with my style, over the weekend I tried out this sleek colourless combination that actually surprised some of my friends.

For the longest time, I’ve struggled with finding some solid black casual pants. I’ve purchased several pairs of black jeans before, but in the end they all faded into a dark grey, and some even faded in splotches. Recently I found these Diesel Thavar-A Pants that were exactly what I was looking for. These pants are called a fashion pant and they feature the slim fit of jeans but yet are not actually denim, so they don’t fade. Its material is similar to that of chinos but with a bit more of a sheen. These pants are now a wardrobe staple of mine and I’ll definitely be dry cleaning them to make sure that they maintain their solid black colour.

Haha yea I agree, the men’s sandals trend just came a couple years ago! It’s been super hot in Vancouver lately so they’re my preferred footwear now!

I really like that bag, Justin. The size and the color. Is it for your job, or is it casual? Looks like it’s good for both. Wish I could pin it on my Pinterest board “the baggXchange”. I got bags pinned for women and men. Lookin’ good Mr. Walk & Talk.

Thanks Sabrina! You may “Pin” my photos if you’d like! Just hover over my pictures and a button should appear :). I use this bag both for work and for casual. I try to steer away from bags that are too restrictive for either purpose because I end up not using them enough. This bag is a good in-betweener!

Thanks Justin. But before I came off your site, I already pinned it. Couldn’t help myself. Don’t be mad.

That’s really interesting about black jeans. I’ve noticed that!

You pull this off very well, as usual. I like the larger close up with your face especially. That’s a nice photo, with the light.

Thanks Nia! Yea I got a new portrait lens recently and have been playing around with it. Glad you enjoy the shots!
