I’m currently writing this blog post while there is a big thunderstorm happening outside. I love the idea of hiding indoors from a storm, but I better write fast in case my power goes out!
With summer coming to an end, this week has been quite rainy and so my trusted trench coat is making an appearance again. Despite how the trench coat is supposed to be a more formal piece of outerwear, I actually like sporting it in casual looks. In fact, the trench coat + tee + boots is my most anticipated look for this Fall. This look is easy to wear, keeps me dry, and when I do up the coat I look like I’m on a secret mission.
With Back to School and the new Fall season coming our way, I thought this would be a good time to share some of my tips for smarter shopping. Throughout my high school and college years I definitely blew a good amount of money buying clothes that ended up being donated. From my mistakes and wasted money, I’ve learned to be a smarter shopper so that the money I spend actually goes into building a better wardrobe. As the age old saying goes, less is more, and that can certainly be applied to shopping.
Just when I thought that I wouldn’t get a chance to wear my new Hawaiian shirt this summer, I got invited to a Tiki-themed Pool Party! This “party” turned out to be 13 hours long because we all enjoyed each others’ company and stuck around. I had such a great time sharing laughs with old friends as well as many new ones. Glad to be ending off summer on a good note!
After a busy week at work, I’m having a hard time believing that it’s Friday. Although it’s unfortunate that there’s only two official summer weekends left, I’m happy that I have some fun outdoor activities planned to make them count. Hope you are doing the same!
Even though I’ve been blogging for a little while now, I still haven’t figured out the formula for perfect lighting. Although I’m slowly getting better at finding optimal shooting times and places, a lot of it is still trial and error for me. I get pretty excited when my shots turn out so well that I don’t even need to post-edit the brightness and colours. That was the case last night and I surely wish that every night’s conditions are the same!
