Pop Art : Comic Tee + Cobalt Denim

Even though this may be one of the last sunny weekends left of the year, I’m actually spending a good chunk of it indoors doing something different: attending cooking class. My friend bought me a voucher for a class at The Dirty Apron Cooking School a while back and I’m using it to learn how to cook a 4-course Italian meal! Although I’ve lived alone for almost five years, I’m still very much a bachelor as my cooking skills are dismal. Anything beyond fried rice is challenging to me, which is why my friend pointed me to take this class. I’m hoping to learn lots and perhaps this may even be the start of a new hobby!

I’m wearing:

Criminal Damage Tee (now on sale) | Akira Jeans (from Chicago) | Nike Sneakers | Marni x H&M Sunglasses | Diesel Watch

I’m still very much a kid at heart and so I tend to gravitate towards fun and quirky pieces of clothing. Comic prints are a favourite of mine and this tee I’m wearing here is the third of its kind that I’ve purchased this year (see others here and here). Growing up, I was a big comic book reader and I was quite international with my tastes since I read both manga (Japanese comics) and American Superhero comics. For manga, Doraemon was by far my favourite. For superheroes, Spiderman remains to be on the top of my list. Good old memories!

I love this outfit! Appeals to the side of me that loves bright colours and also the comic-nerd inside of me. Really like the watch =)

Thanks Margaret, that means a lot!

  • Comic Prints are super trending right now.. I was lucky enough to get a BOOM sweatshirt from the Phillip Lim Collection for Target recently. Will definitely be doing a style post with it on.
