Sharp : Classic Trench + Businesswear

sharp-1

Yesterday I missed out on “Casual Friday” because I had a conference to attend. For business events outside of my office, I typically dress very conservative and shy away from colour. Black, white, grey and navy is all that I usually go for when I want to look professional. I ended up not getting home until late, so I apologize for looking worn out in these shots!

I’m wearing:

Banana Republic Trench Coat | Express Shirt | Club Monaco Sweater | Club Monaco Pants | Kenneth Cole Shoes

Sharp : Classic Trench + Businesswear

My choice of professional outerwear is always the khaki trench. Because my professional outfits are usually dark in colour, I like to wear a piece of outerwear in a lighter colour over top.

First of all, let me say you do not look worn out. You should see me at the end of a rough week (this past week). Anyway, the gray looks great and the trench coat is a nice accessory. It’s interesting to see how both men and women both rely on the same colors to look professional. As a woman I add color with a bag or a scarf. How do you do it when you want color?

Hi Ana! Thanks so much for the kind words. I typically don’t wear colour to professional occasions, but when I do it’s normally with a tie.
