Over Chinese New Years I flew back to the prairies to spend time with my family and old friends in Calgary. Chinese New Years is all about spending time with important people, so I was thrilled to be back home. Calgary was freezing cold at -20°C during my visit, so needless to say I avoided the outdoors as much as I could. However, I did brave the cold for a brief moment to snap these photos with the beautiful snowy scenery that I rarely see nowadays.
Jacket : Tommy Hilfiger │ Sweater : Frank & Oak (c/o, last seen here) │ Shirt : Banana Republic │ Tee : Gap (underneath) │ Pants : Banana Republic │ Boots : Zara
To gear up for the cold weather I wore four layers: a long-sleeved tee, a button up, a sweater, and a down jacket. But even with so much on, I was still shaking! This was a neat throwback to my high school days when I had to walk half an hour in this type of weather to get to my nearest bus stop. The West Coast weather has spoiled me since and I sure don’t think I can relive those days again.
