Various travel guides I read had told me that a visit to the Stockholm Archipelago is a must. The archipelago is a group of hundreds of islands along the Swedish coast, most of which could only be accessed by water It is possible to go island-hopping for a few days, but since I could only fit a day trip in my itinerary, I settled for a short trip to a nearby island named Vaxholm that is only an hour’s ferry ride away from Stockholm.
This new Filson backpack of mine has been pleasure to use during my travels. It’s the perfect size for my items and its waxed cotton composition is very water resistant. Best of all, I love how it looks like an old school knapsack!
Even on a gloomy day, Stockholm is still so beautiful from the water. This ferry ride was truly unforgettable.
Vaxholm is a quiet rural island that is sharply different from Stockholm. It’s a great place to retreat away from the fast city life.
