It’s been raining hard in Hong Kong this week, so I thought now would be a good time to revisit photos my trip to sunny Thailand from earlier this year. Although most of my trip was spent in Bangkok, my most memorable experiences in Thailand occurred out in the countryside. Ayutthaya is a small historic town that I visited midway through my trip. It’s located about 3 hours north of Bangkok by train. This town is an ancient capital of Thailand and it is a UNESCO site filled with ruins of ancient temples. Upon arriving to this town I rented a bike and navigated my way around from temple to temple. Pretty much I was pretending to be Indiana Jones for the day.
There’s something so eerie yet calming about the ruins of Wat Mahathat. Although the temple is no longer, I felt as if its tranquility still lingers.
Why did the elephants cross the road?
The Wat Phra Si Sanphet is truly a sight to behold
