Best Basics

A fitted plain tee is a basic piece that I can’t ever seem to own enough of. However I have struggled with finding ones that are high quality, fit well, and are at a good price point. Lately I’ve discovered the Brunswick tee in Cotton On and I literally bought it in every colour. I love the worn-in fabric of these tees and they fit me like a glove. Best of all, they’re super affordable too. If you run into me in Hong Kong this summer, this is what you’ll likely see me wearing.

To avoid looking too sloppy, I like to pair plain tees with dark tapered jeans and penny loafers. These penny loafers are new from Frye and they’re my new default shoes as of late. I’ve worn them to work with chinos, on nights out with jeans, and on weekends with shorts. I’m now looking to add a brown pair of loafers to my collection and I’m ordering some from Loake 1880 and Cole Haan to try out.

I’m wearing:

Tee : Cotton On | Jeans : Uniqlo | Shoes : Frye | Sunglasses : Ray-Ban | Watch : Timex

      Uniqlo…always a fav 😀

  • Sometimes I really worry about wearing t-shirts with loafers as I feel they can clash but you do a great job at it! Thanks for the tip on the t-shirt. It looks really high quality and I’ll be sure to try Cotton On!

Glad I helped! Thanks Kosta :)

  • I love this look! The shoes really give it that extra pop. I’m not so much a t-shirt person for myself, but I appreciate a long sleeve, no print, cotton top, which is close enough 😉
