Due to my recent obsession with black and white, I haven’t worn much colour this summer at all. Since the season is coming to an end soon, I’ve been trying to get some more wear out of my brighter pieces, one of them being these red shorts. Red and blue is my favourite colour blocking combination, so here I paired the shorts with my favourite navy slub tee.
I can’t ever seem to have enough plain white shirts in my closet. I have a variety of them in different cuts and fabrics, all of which I wear regularly. The newest to my collection is this one by 3.1 Phillip Lim. It features a slightly relaxed fit and a unique sleeve length that ends just before my elbow. For some reason I associate a rocker vibe to this shirt, so I paired it with tapered black jeans and sharp leather accents.
One of the coolest things about Sheung Wan is that it’s a hub to many Hong Kong tramway lines. These old school trams (or “ding dings”, as we call them in Cantonese) are a great way to get around if you want to mix in your trip with some sightseeing. I just love how the old and the new all come together in Hong Kong.
We just stepped into the last month of summer and I’m already stoked for this miserably hot season to end. Whereas summer in Canada is a lively season that’s ideal for patio time and travelling, summer in Asia is a time when I just want to be left alone in an air-conditioned room. Ah, the differences between life on opposite ends of the world.
