Chinese New Year

Kung Hei Fat Choy! Happy Year of the Monkey to you all! This was my second Chinese New Years in Hong Kong and I’m enjoying it more and more this year as I get the hang of all the traditions. I highly appreciate this holidays’ positive atmosphere, festivities, and of course…the red pockets. For those of you who also celebrate the Lunar New Year, I hope you had a fantastic time as well!

On the first day of the Lunar Year I dressed up this red v-neck sweater as I headed to a family dinner. This sweater is a new piece that I specifically bought to wear for New Years, but I think it’s versatile for me to wear throughout the year as well (come Christmastime).

On day 2 I dressed a lot more casually in my Canadian Tuxedo paired with a red flannel shirt. This A.P.C denim jacket is a new piece of mine that I highly covet. I’ve never found such a well-fitted denim jacket before, and it’s fabric is super soft and comfortable to wear.

During the first weekend of the Lunar New Year I headed over to Macau to spend some time with my friends and relatives there. Macau and Hong Kong have both been hit by a cold spell lately, so I wore two jackets to stay warm for my trip.

I’m wearing:

Look One – Sweater : Uniqlo | Shirt : Muji | Coat : Express | Pants : Cotton On | Socks : Happy Socks | Shoes : Loake 1880 (c/o)

Look Two – Shirt : Jack Spade | Jacket : A.P.C (c/o) | Jeans : Uniqlo | Shoes : New Balance

Look Three – Varsity Jacket : Chocoolate | Bomber Jacket : Forever 21 | Jeans : Topman | Boots : Dr. Martens (c/o) | Backpack : Marc by Marc Jacobs
