Island Hopping in Sabah



Earlier this month I went on my first tropical vacation – crazy, I know. Because I can’t swim, I’ve always turned away from resort or beach vacations. Life’s too short not to try new things though, so I decided to book a short trip to Sabah in Malaysia. Sabah is the northernmost state of Eastern Malaysia. When i googled this destination I was drawn to so many photos of its clear blue waters and white sandy beaches.

Unending Winter



It seems that winter is just not going away in Hong Kong. It’s mid-March and I still find myself shivering every morning when I wake up. It’s a bit embarrassing how afraid of the cold I am, considering that I did grow up in Canada. But there’s a little something called ‘indoor heating’ that I really miss from back at home. Let’s hope that Spring is on its way here soon!

When it comes to fashion, it’s always nice to get lots of bang for your buck. That’s definitely the case for this varsity jacket that I bought from Forever 21 in Las Vegas a couple years ago. I think it just cost me $70 but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve worn it. Despite being a wool blend, it has aged very well and hasn’t pilled at all. Here in these photos I’m wearing the jacket on a gloomy day in Taipei.
