Farm Day

The blog is still alive! I’ve been extremely busy lately with my Masters program since my first course just wrapped. I’m now enjoying the calm after the storm and I want to share more photos with you from my recent travels. This year has been an awesome year for travelling and I’m happy to say that the best has yet to come.

Near the end of our Sabah trip, my friend and I booked a taxi for a day to explore the inner parts of Sabah. We took a short hike around Mount Kinabalu and then we drove up the mountains to Desa Cattle farm, where these photos were shot.

Although I grew up surrounded by farms in the Canadian prairies, I actually haven’t seen any black-and-white cows in my life because Canadian cows are usually brown. It was nice to see herds of black-and-white cows at the Desa Cattle farm; it felt like a scene straight out of a story book.

The fresh milk and ice cream at the farm were delicious! They were the best dairy products I’ve had in my life.

I confused my friends when I shared these photos because this area looks so much like New Zealand. Kiwiland is definitely on my travel list and I hope to make it there soon too.
